Kae obtained her certification as a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) through Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training.

With a medical degree from the University of Missouri Columbia and an anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Kae joined North Florida Anesthesia Consultants and practiced anesthesia primarily at St Vincent’s Medical Centerin Riverside until her retirement in May 2020.

Kae competitively swam in college and continued to swim with US Masters teams thorough her adult life. Additionally, she ran several marathons and participated in many Sprint Triathlons, studying yoga, Pure Barre, CrossFit, and Pilates through that physical journey.

An injury in 2017 brought her back to study Pilates in earnest. Falling in love with the nuanced attention to detail at the core of Pilates work, she embarked on the Polestar Teacher Training to deepen her knowledge and practice. Pilates has given her “a unique opportunity to continue to work with people in a meaningful way.”
